I smoked and waited anxiously, no one else realizing what I was waiting for. After 9 minutes the streetlight came on and I turned away. The streetlights in France come on every day depending on the intensity of the light, I capture this uncertainty with my body and at an approximate moment begin to wait. I know it will come, but not when, just like my life in France.
Artist Zhou Zhang, born in 1992 in Lu'an, Anhui Province, graduated from the Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 2016, majoring in video media. 2023, he accomplished the diploma of DNSEP in ENSA Bourges, France with honors. Zhou shows his interest in the “tourist” identity through his works in video, performance, installation and photography genres.
